Evergreen Inclusive Academy is a co- educational day/ boarding School located at Anwomaso/ Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. We offer flexible and accommodative curriculum in Functional Skills , using research -based and evidence based educational approaches . At
Evergreen we offer Individualized Education Program. The IEP helps to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses of the learner, this in turn helps us to formulate short and long term achievable educational plans for the Learner. We help our learners acquire academic skills, Social Interaction Skills and Language Skills Because Autism is a Spectrum Condition which make each child unique, our programs are tailored to meet their individual needs And because we are an Inclusive Academy our teaching methods and therapeutic environment are also just conducive for neurotypical learners. We also cater for learners with Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD ,etc. Each student is assigned a teacher and a program Coordinator to periodically review the IEP with relevant Stakeholders including parents / guardians and Teachers.
We also offer a vocational curriculum to Learners between the ages of
12-21 years who have significant leaning difficulties , who may find it difficult to fully pursue mainstream Educational Path and career. A vocational career that equips them to lead independent lives and fully integrate them into mainstream society. The curriculum includes Numeracy and Literacy , daily life skills , problem solving Skills, Communication Skills , decision making skills , self care Skills and Coping with Stress Skills . Our practical Vocational training includes beads making , Kente Weaving, Soap making and Chocolate Making.
All students applying to join Evergreen Inclusive Academy will have to
undergo an assessment process through Evergreen Autism Centre , where learners are assessed to identify their unique learning difficulties, a report is submitted to parents , teachers and program coordinators , the report helps to place the learner in the right class and also to formulate plans for the IEP.
